It's All in the Details {Christmas Edition}

I'm gathering my inspiration for Christmas decorating! I am sure many of you began last weekend, but we are only just getting started around here. May your weekend be full of Christmas cheer!

Thanksgiving and Such

This year we didn't do a big extended family event like we normally do for Thanksgiving, but I wouldn't have felt up to par even if we had considering I was pretty sick. Lance and I did celebrate with a delicious Thanksgiving meal on the day, and later I got together with my immediate family. I really wish I would have taken more pictures of the festivities, but I wasn't too camera-happy. Here a few snapshots that I did take of life on and since Thanksgiving...

The End of an Era

A few days ago we took our annual trip to see Twilight for the last time. I'd say we make some pretty good vampires, no? Especially me. I blame the vsco cam app for the (only slight) exaggeration of my paleness and darkening of my hair, but it is quite fitting.

I will proudly proclaim right here and now that I loved it. No shame. I won't speak for Lance but he may or may not have loved it as well. Although, he might have some shame.

But answer me this: Why was baby Renesmee computer generated? Totally unnecessary. It was weird, right?

Our plan was to go hit the town after the movie, but (as we should have expected) our elderly ways got the best of us and we went straight home to bed. Which was totally fine considering that it saved our wallets any more damage after shelling out enough money for a small house just to see a movie (totally worth it in this case).

So goodbye to the end of an era! Whatever will fill the void? And don't even think about trying to sell me on this 50 Shades of Grey nonsense. At least we have the rest of The Hunger Games movies to look forward to...

hey hello hi

So I haven't had a moment to spare and update you all on my life over the past couple of weeks. But let me just say, I have some WONDERFUL news! Okay, that was cruel. I'm lying. I have no particularly riveting stories to share. I'm sorry. I guess I just wish I had some earth-shattering news, a revelation on life, or some juicy inside scoop to share.

But I've got nothing. All that I do have is a quick rundown on life lately and that will have to do for now...

-We took a quick and unexpected trip to see Lance's fam. It was a there-and-back kind of thing and we really wished we had more time to visit all of our other friends and loved ones!

-There was this one day where I watched some lady's car get swarmed by a flock of crazy crows. It was scary. Then they abandoned her car and decided to fly on over to MY car. Cue flashes of scenes from The Birds in my head. Luckily I avoided any and all incidents involving my eyes being pecked out as they decided to head elsewhere after a few minutes of stalking my car. Crisis averted.

-I've been working in many coffee shops lately and cannot emphasize enough how vital good internet and a multitude of outlets are. You would think that would be a given. But no.

-There may or may not have been some Christmas tree decorating going on (before Thanksgiving?!). But for good reason, I promise!

-Also, we had a pretty wonderful family brunch after church last Sunday complete with mimosas and "Puffs"(aka German pancakes).

-And that's ALL I've done. Okay, that's just all I photographed. I'm sure there was more. Here are some pictures to accompany the aforementioned events...

By the way, this is how I feel about "skinny" drinks at Starbucks:
They're gross. I don't like them. Never again.

--insert creative post title here--

Happy Friday! This last couple of weeks flew by for me.

It was filled with pumpkin painting and gravestone findings...

There was a breakfast & card game date with husband...

We went out with friends resulting in a new favorite food--Bibimbop (to DIE for)....

We hosted a Halloween-ey get together last weekend complete with scary movie and creepy board games...

I went to IKEA with my mom and this happened...

Rainy days brought pretty skies and rainbows...

Not too shabby if I do say so myself!
